Geek Chic, Nerd Life

What a day…

I haven’t been this busy in such a long time. I’m really hoping I don’t shut down in the middle of it all. I got to work late because I’m a heavy sleeper and Life hates me. However, I did get to stock up on Sharpies (silver for me, 80s glam pack and pen set for my superior) and nachos (La Campana, Lodi, CA) at lunch today which added a nice break from the chaos. At the end of the day, I was able to finish a few projects and summon enough energy to navigate through the rain and home. My dinner of choice consisted of cheese stuff pasta with pesto, green beans, and Dearly Beloved wine from Trader Joe’s. Such good wine. I really wish that I knew more about wine to give you a better insight to this bottle of heaven, but I don’t normally go for wines (especially red). Maybe I can have a friend wine taste later this week! Yay, wine tasting!

The urge to create is upon me. Don’t be surprised if I end up redoing the site layout or header. Or offer up some freebie downloads. Something approaches in an epic fashion. Speaking of fashion, I’m hoping to do a few more outfit posts here soon. I managed to purchase a few well-needed pieces for my closet now that 4 garbage bag-fulls are missing from it. Before you panic, it was something that needed to be done. Shirts that were too small, pants that were too big, and beautiful skirts that haven’t seen the light of day since 2008. I loved them all, but they’re just not me anymore and I had to let go.

My clothes weren’t the only things I had to bid farewell to; my furniture and the majority of my dishes found a new home, art supplies to be sold, and food that had begun to form new life on it. The last bit will not be missed. I still wish I could part with more, or that I had more storage. I lost about 2/3 of the space moving to my new apartment and I’m not sure where to store everything. I’m really close to taking pictures and sending it to a random HGTV show in hopes of being saved.

Well, I think I’m going to start messing with Jeff while he’s playing his game. (Lol, I’m terrible.)
